Give a therapist chance to help, you didn’t get like that overnight

Moving your body

A few times i have had clients come just once because the one session didn’t work for them they go elsewhere.

I have also had a few clients who have been to numerous places just once which does not give the therapist a chance to help. Sometimes going somewhere else out of town which will put them on a block booking system and absolutely rinse you.

The reason I don’t do block bookings is because each person is an individual and the time for recovery has many factors to consider. Such as the time/ length of pain, biological, psychological, and social factors.

The number of professional massages needed to relieve pain can vary depending on the severity. In general, significant improvement can often be felt after just one session, but for some people with more chronic or severe cases, multiple sessions may be necessary.

The frequency of massage sessions can also vary based on individual needs and preferences. Some people may benefit from weekly massages, while others may find that every 2 weeks or monthly sessions are sufficient to maintain the results.

It’s also very important to communicate with your massage therapist about your goals, any progress you’re experiencing, and any changes in your condition so that they can tailor the treatment plan to best suit your needs.

I have different treatments available and one size does not suit all. If one thing doesn’t work then I’ll try another.

I will always recommend physical exercise whether it be small movements for mobility or weight training which is my favourite due to the difference it makes on my joints, I’m literally immobile without it due to osteoarthritis and genetics.

I am qualified to prescribe exercise and rehab.

First and foremost, we want to understand what is the cause of the symptoms.

It is important to COMMUNICATE with your therapist. They can tell you if you need more or less. Of course, you’ll need to find an honest therapist who isn’t just out for the money.
Personally I ask for someone to give me up to 4 sessions to help, if after that it has not helped then a referral would be suggested to the client.
